My husband is a pizza lover. He said that he can live with just a pizza, fried chicken and macaroni. It doesn't sound healthy to me but it is usual to him I guess, although the energy content and nutritional value of pizza varies from its ingredients and serving size. That is why I really tried to learn how to cook some Filipino dishes because during the first 2 months of my stay here in the US, we usually eat pizza aside from the food we just bought for take out in a restaurant or fast food. Aside from that I miss Filipino dishes that my parents cook back home.
Anyway, I wanted to share with you the first pizza that he made. It is a pepperoni flavored pizza with some meat and mushroom toppings on it. It tastes and looks good! So I told him "But when the pizza is served and eaten moderately without high fat toppings such as pepperoni or cheese, pizza can be relatively healthy". hehe!^_^

Hi Mer, maraming variations ang pizza. Basta may pizza dough kalang pwede mo nang lagyan nang kahit anong gusto mo. Himay-himayin mo lang ang mga topping magiging healthy na rin yun. Oi nakita ko bob evans sausage gamit ninyo favorite din namin ang bob evans masarap kasi sausage nila diba. Regards to your hubby. Ingatz and God bless!!

hi meryl! thank you for always dropping by my site. i love pizza! yum, yum, yum. pahingi naman po . lol
hahhaha...I can relate to you experience sis....the first 3 months I live here in the US was tough..as in really tough....I had trouble eating the "american food"...I can't live w/o rice,and until now.....:)
Anyhow, it is not really healthy when you just eat pizza or fast food...that is why natutunan kung magluto dito sa US...dko talaga alam kung pano magluto eh....pero I realized na marunong din pala ako.....trial and error lang naman ang cooking...heehhe....usually I try to avoid frying...I prefer baking kasi less cholesterol lalo na sa meat....:)
Once in awhile naman pag in a hurry kami, of course pizza and fast food...hehehe....:)
Great job kay hubby mo....I made like this before...pero alam mo ba sis na mas mahal pa yung homemade pizza kay sa store bought pizza? try to think of it....hehehhe....:)

SUTUKIL-Sugba (grilled fish), tinola (Tula sa vernacular namin) tsaka KIL stands for KILAW, yong kinakain natin ang fresh isda na raw with vinegar and spices....Miss these so much...

anyway salamat sa comments ha, my husband gusto niya na i surgery sana pero iwan ko sayang ang bayad pag hindi covered sa insurance ng asawa ko kasi 800 plus ang surgery lang plus the crown pa. yon ang iniisip ko sa ngayon,lol...

I DO LIKE PIZZA, BUT THE MOST FAVOURITE ONE I LIKE IS TIPICALY INDONESIAN PIZA.... WHERE WE USE TEMPE AS PART OF THE TOPING.
IT TASTE MORE SPECIFIC, INDONESIAN STYLE..... IF U HAVE TEMPE (BEANCURD) WHY DON'T U TRY TO MAKE IT.....YUMMY

Sis, parang masarap yong pizza mo. I love pizza too, pero so far hindi pa kami nakagawa ng our own. Sarap no pag daming toppings. Hindi talaga ako masawaan ng pizza pwerya nalang kung out talaga ako sa budget at hindi makabili hehe.
