DESSERT WITH A THEME OF INDEPENDENCE DAY (RECIPE)

Posted by Meryl (proud pinay)

The day before we celebrate the Fourth of July (Independence Day) at my brother-in-laws' house, we visited my parents-in-law to have lunch and to celebrate Independence Day in advance. My mother-in-law wanted to make a dessert with a theme of Independence Day (with the colors of the American flag-red, white and blue) so she sought advice from my sister-in-law. She prepared the dessert described by my sis-in-law and it was pretty good. Actually, the recipe was just made up by my sister-in-law. I really love the taste of this dessert so I took a picture of it and would love to share the recipe with you. Next Independence Day you may want to try it or even in an ordinary day.

Ingredients:
Jell-O instant pudding (vanilla or banana flavor)

milk
strawberries
blueberries
angel food cake (1/2 loaf)

Directions
1. Beat pudding and mix with 2 cups cold milk in bowl with wire whisk 2 minutes(or see instructions in the box of the Jell-O instant pudding). Set aside
2.Slice the strawberries. Add the blueberries. Slice the angel food cake 1x1 inch.(these ingredients made up the color of the American flag)
3.Pour the ingredients all together in the bowl with pudding and mix. Serve and enjoy.

Hello Mer, belated Happy Independence Day! By the way, it seems it's just like a fruit salad--it's just the dressing and the mix vary. It looks yummy! give me some!
