GATEWAY GEYSER, ST. LOUIS

Posted by Meryl (proud pinay)

The Gateway Geyser is a fountain located on the riverfront of the Mississippi River in East St. Louis directly across from the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. It is one of the tallest fountains in the world. It is actually the world's second tallest, lifting water soaring to nearly 630-feet. It can blast 8000 gallons a minute. The fountain was completed in 1995 at a cost of $4 million.Geyser is second to King Fahd's Fountain in Saudi Arabia. The four minor fountains surrounding Geyser represent the four rivers which converge at St. Louis and East St. Louis.
