Next month I am being profiled in a local magazine as Small Business Owner of the Month. I was flattered to be selected and enjoyed doing the interview and photo shoot for the cover. My favorite question was how I had been so successful so quickly. It was hard to answer, honestly. Of course my Dallas T1 has been a huge help as has my office location which brings in a good amount of foot traffic. But there’s a lot more to it than that! Family support and understanding are huge—it takes a lot of time to get a good start and sometimes you can’t do everything. You also have to be willing to give up some personal time—starting a business and being successful at it isn’t a 40 hour a week job! And there is also finding the right employees. There is no way I could have grown so quickly without the right team.

My friend's new business and office just opened a week ago and I'm so happy for her!
