The Top 10 Must-Haves for your College Career

Big deadlines, the ability to write your own schedule, and forget a shower or two - this is the beauty of college. While independence is rejuvenating, your experience will be enhanced through 10 must-haves. One of the first requirements in college is a good pair of sneakers. Secondly, a great time-saver is public transportation: get a bus pass. Thirdly, be prepared for the elements. Having a compact umbrella for rain or a jacket for the overly air-conditioned class will come in handy. Fourth, get a refillable canteen of water for any time of the year. Fifth, get a reliable over-the-shoulder bag or a backpack. As for the sixth and seventh must-haves, mobility is everything so get a laptop with internet from www.cleartvbundle.com and secure great rates with your cell phone provider for text messages. Classmates won't call you for study sessions, they'll text or send you an Instant Message. Eighth, invest in some non-perishables. Saltines and peanut butter can come in handy while completing a paper. Ninth, don't underestimate the importance of a good organizational system: shelves, file folders, post-it notes, etc.. Lastly, if anyone wants to buy you a gift, request some gift certificates. Cash will probably be tight and there's nothing like a Starbucks card to give you an extra boost to complete your assignments! These must-haves will make the most of your college experience.

COLLEGE DEGREES / COLLEGE SEARCH

Posted by Meryl (proud pinay)

My friend is still in her fourth year in highschool but so excited to go to college. She is still undecided yet which course to choose since her mom and dad also influenced her to take courses which are far from what she really likes. She doesn't know yet if she will take up a course that she likes or the course that her parents would like her to pursue. Now, she is still looking for College Degrees online. She found a site which one can easily browse by college degree programs, browse college by location, by career and other categories. She wanted to take up Computer Science which is a very good course. Oh I miss my college days and although I already graduated with a Bachelors Degree I am sometimes thinking of taking up another course. Guess what? I want to become a culinary artist or a chef. Yes! It is far from the course I took in college but hey after I got married I learned how to cook on my own and fell in love with it. Maybe I will pursue this career someday.
