What can you say about Honda's new "personal mobility" device? Honda developed a new personal mobility technology called U3-X. It looks like a unicycle and enables you to move forward, back and even sideways directions by just leaning your weight into the direction you want to go. It is also possible to adjust the speed and move, turn and stop an all directions when the rider of the device leans the upper body to shift body weight. It was designed in such a way that it can take up the same amount of space as a human. According to Honda Motor Co., it is safe and unobtrusive enough to use to mingle with pedestrians. The device was demonstrated at a press conference in Tokyo, Japan, September 24, 2009, Thursday.
